Campaigners have accused William, Charles and the government of being complicit in a cover-up over Andrew accusations.

William and Charles have been covering for and protecting Andrew for two decades. Now the government appears to be blocking MPs from debating the issue.

Speaking for campaign group Republic, Graham Smith said today:

“The PM says the royals don’t want parliamentary time taken up with this scandal. Of course they don’t, they don’t want MPs debating royal corruption and abuse of power.”

“It should be obvious to everyone that William and Charles would have been fully briefed on all the evidence and accusations over the past two decades.”

“Instead of seeking justice and accountability, they have done all they can to cover for and protect Andrew. Because they know the danger full disclosure poses for them.”

“Now the government is aiding the royals in that cover-up, deflecting from the serious issues and refusing to allow MPs to debate the issue.”

“This isn’t about whether Andrew was friends with a criminal. It’s about whether Andrew is a criminal. Until that issue is addressed by the police and politicians, without fear or favour, there is no chance of justice for victims of abuse.”

“This scandal isn’t going away, and the more the royals and politicians stand between Andrew and justice, the more they’ll be guilty of complicity and cover up.”
