From the Republic Edinburgh Local Group

In response to the Royal Week announcement, the Republic Edinburgh Local Group are organising a protest on Wednesday 3rd July to tell Charles he is not our king at the Order of the Thistle Ceremony at St Giles Cathedral. 

At the service, Charles will be installing members of his family to the Order of the Thistle - another display of royal nepotism.

Republic activists will be there to oppose this undemocratic and archaic practice, so join them by pledging to protest.

Scottish support for the monarchy is collapsing, so we must show the majority of Scots do not want them there.

When?

The Edinburgh group will be setting up from 9:00am. This will give enough time to get the ideal spot for Charles passing at 11am. The protest will be finished by midday.

This is an opportunity not to be missed in Scotland, one of the few occasions that you will be able to voice your opposition to Charles and the Royals this year.
