More details and a full agenda will be published at a later date. Tickets are now available!

New Venue!

Members' Day is moving to a new venue this year. The event will be in The Foundry, a short walk from Vauxhall, Kennington and Oval tube stations.

Speakers

Oliver Knowles

Led By Donkey's Oliver Knowles' speech will focus on his work with the organisation and planning investigations and stunts against the royals, politicians and other public figures.

Oliver Knowles is a co-founder of Led By Donkeys. A lifelong activist, he spent over 20 years working for Greenpeace as a campaigner and strategist for their global ocean protection campaign, supporting grassroots activism and direct action projects in his spare time. A lifelong supporter of the republican cause, Oliver lives in North London with his family and dog, Noodle.

Catherine Mayer

Author, journalist and activist Catherine Mayer will be there too, speaking about her new book, Divide and Rule. Catherine recently took part in Republic's monthly webinar Beyond The Royal Headlines and has commented extensively on the royals since writing a biography of Charles in 2015.

Catherine Mayer's new book, Divide and Rule, is now out. Mayer offers unique insights into the current state of the monarchy and how it became so fragile. Divide and Rule benefits from her significant knowledge of the institution and its principles acquired over decades. Mayer also looks at how state actors and others instrumentalise royal women to sow mistrust.

John Cross

Researcher John Cross will be speaking, giving a run down on some of Republic's more recent work on royal finances and the sovereign grant. John has been a key volunteer for some time, contributing significantly to Republic's reports on royal finances, secrecy and the Duchies.

John Cross is a volunteer researcher for Republic, specialising in the investigation of royal finances. He was a key contributor to the "Half a Billion Royals" report and the "Ditch the Duchies" report, both of which provided important evidence regarding the public nature of royal estates and the true cost of the monarchy to the taxpayer.

Graham Smith

Republic's CEO Graham Smith will be speaking about all the latest developments in the campaign and what's planned for the New Year. There will also be reports on the work done to date and plenty of opportunity to discuss and join the debate.

Annual General Meeting

Republic's Annual General Meeting is part of Members' Day. This year the AGM is partially incorporated into an online meeting on August 13th, so some business can be conducted prior to the main event. The AGM is then adjourned until October 3rd when the agenda will resume as normal
