Last Year The Duchy of Lancaster paid Charles £27m. We must Ditch the Duchies now!

Charles will be visiting Lancaster Castle on Monday 9th June where he will be presented with keys to the castle as Duke of Lancaster.

It's unclear exactly what time Charles will arrive. However we will be there from 8:30am onwards and will either be where the map shows below or very nearby (you won't miss the yellow flag!)

Please be there early if you can, but otherwise by 10am at the latest. 

What's happening?

He will be meeting with representatives from local businesses inside the castle, many of whom would probably like to see that £27 million private profit spent on local communities and services which would support their businesses!

Remember - Duchy land belongs to the Nation and yet Charles and William continue to treat the Duchies as lucrative sources of private income, whilst their wealth soars to a record high.

Bring a placard or grab one of Republic's when you arrive! This will be a small but fun protest that will getting that message across: It's time to abolish the monarchy!

Most of Republic's protests get into the press these days. On June 5th local activists protested in Hexham and it was reported by the BBC, LBC, the Express and others.
