An 'Investigate The Royals' banner has been unveiled outside Prince Andrew's residence - the Royal Lodge in Windsor Great Park.

Campaigners from Republic staged the stunt this afternoon to highlight the serious questions that are being ignored: who knew what and when, and why have the royals been protecting Andrew for so long?

Andrew stands accused of serious sexual offences, corruption in public office and attempting to corrupt a police officer.

Campaigners have accused Charles and William of covering for and protecting Andrew for more than two decades.

Campaign group Republic has demanded a 'full, unrelenting investigation' into royal links to Jeffrey Epstein and their efforts to protect Andrew.

With public anger rising, there is growing pressure on MPs to act.

Speaking today, Republic's Graham Smith said:

"Today's banner reads 'End Royal Secrecy' and 'What are you hiding? Royal Epstein Inquiry Now.'"

“The royals have a long history of secrecy and dishonesty. Historians have labelled them more secretive than MI5 or the CIA.”

"This scandal goes well beyond Andrew. It is not serious to believe William and Charles weren’t fully briefed about Andrew’s conduct over the years. Yet they did nothing but cover for him.”

“The royals have been trying to dodge accountability for more than two decades. Andrew has clearly been lying about his links with Jeffrey Epstein."

“Whenever new revelations have come out, William and Charles have only acted to protect their own positions.”

"At no point have the royals shown any concern for the victims of Epstein or Andrew. This has always been about rich and powerful men protecting themselves from accusations levelled at other rich and powerful men.”

"That's why the Met Police need to investigate Andrew. That's why parliament needs to launch a Royal Epstein Inquiry, to investigate what Charles and William knew about Andrew's links with Jeffrey Epstein."

“The secrecy has to end. The truth must be brought out into the open. The public deserves answers.”
