When March 28, 2024 at 8:30am 3 hrs

On Thursday 28th March, Republic will be protesting at the Royal Maundy Service in Worcester Cathedral. Come and join us from 8:30am!

Camilla will be attending the Royal Maundy Service in Worcester Cathedral on the 28th March.

During the service, despite the royals costing us £345 million per year, Camilla will hand out 75 pence in Maundy Money to pensioners who have done something special in their local community.

We must be there to protest this tone-deaf service and persuade the public that this archaic practice ought to be abolished, along with the Monarchy

With the service set to start at 10:00am, join us from 8:30am to make sure we're in position before Camilla arrives.

The Republic team and volunteers will be setting up from 8:00am, so please join us then if you can help to set up.

Camilla will be entering Worcester Cathedral near College Yard, next to the front doors of the church. Our protest will gather as near as possible to the front doors on College Yard.

There are two train stations in Worcester that have connections to Birmingham, Bristol and London.

The nearby M5 also acts as a road link between Worcester, the wider West Midlands and beyond.

Republic in Worcester event - 27th March

Republic will be holding an in-person event at the Friends Meeting House in Worcester, from 6:00pm-9:00pm on Wednesday 27th March (the evening before the protest).

This is a chance to socialise and meet other republicans, prepare for the upcoming protest (expect placard- and banner-making) and hear from Graham Smith, Republic's CEO.
