This week Republic is launching the How to Win the Argument project. We want to know what you think about the arguments we use to challenge the monarchy.
Republic wants to see the monarchy abolished and the Queen replaced with a democratically elected head of state. We'll win this campaign with clear and concise points and effective responses to the many common and misleading myths put forward in favour of the monarchy.
Republic has a lot of experience in making effective arguments on air, in the press and in live debates. But we need to keep the arguments fresh and up-to-date.
We'll be developing our arguments throughout 2017 - making sure we can continue to build an effective case for a republic and challenge the myths.
With each issue we'll be asking for your views, and using your input to shape our arguments.
We'll be talking about Britain's political system, democratic principles and everything that's wrong about the royal household - and tackling myths about tourism and trade, confusion about the Crown Estates and questions about the future of the Commonwealth.
This project will give us - and you - the tools to make a stronger case for a republic.
The project is starting with a common question that goes right to the heart of our campaign: Why do we need a head of state?
