The royals should face an inquiry into the Epstein scandal, according to campaigners, as the decision to drop titles was branded ‘too little, too late.’
Speaking for Republic, Graham Smith said today:
“Andrew remains accused of sexual offences and abuse of office. He should be stripped of all titles and his Navy rank and should face a criminal investigation.”
“Not using silly medieval titles is not a punishment that fits the offences.”
“This whole story has been painted as about embarrassing the royals, when it must focus on justice for girls abused by rich and powerful men.”
“The idea that losing pointless titles is a fit punishment is sickening and must be challenged.”
“The royals have been covering for and protecting Andrew for two decades. The public has a right to know who knew what and when.”
“This isn’t one rotten apple, it’s a rotten institution that circles the wagons and does as little as it can in response to serious scandal.”
